Tybee Island Museum

The Tybee Island Museum is located across from the Tybee Island Light Station in an 1898 coastal Georgia artillery battery at Fort Screven. Completed in 1961, the museum features collections of historical items, pictures and relics that chronicle nearly 400 years of the island’s history. Admission to the museum is included in the cost to tour the Tybee Island Light Station.

HoursOpen Daily (Closed Tuesday)  9am to 5:30pm. (Stop selling tickets at 4:30pm.)
Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Years Day.

Admission:$9.00 for Adults/$7 for Seniors (62+)/$7 for Children (6-17 years) Children under 5 years are free

Military Admission: $7.00 / Coast Guard: Free (Must present ID)

(Hours and pricing are subject to change, please view the website or call for more information)

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times while visiting our sites. Free parking is available at the lighthouse for those purchasing tickets, if spaces available. Please do not leave your vehicle parked here except for while touring the lightstation and museum. If you plan to visit the beach they ask that you move your vehicle to the city parking lot across the street.
