Fresh, Local Seafood

Bubba Gumbo’s serve seasonally fresh seafood and offer guests wonderful sunset views right along Lazaretto Creek. On Tybee’s sound end, Sting Ray’s Seafood is owned by a former shrimper, so the seafood is guaranteed to be fresh! Located on Tybee's mid-island, Salt Island Fish & Beer is a mix of traditional beach food with a modern flair. Enjoy a delicious seafood meal overlooking Tybrisa Street from the rooftop deck of Pier 16.

Uniquely Good Restaurants

The Deck Beach Bar and Kitchen is the only beachfront restaurant on the entire island. Therefore, you can take in stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean while enjoying made-from-scratch dishes that offer a surprising twist on classic beach fare. You can find Sundae Café in one of the most unassuming locations on Tybee. However, the menu is outstanding and focuses on Southern-inspired dishes and homemade desserts. The Original Crab Shack is a one-of-a-kind experience and an island staple. They serve up some of the finest fresh crab with a side of sunset marsh views. Chamacos Tacos and Surf is a hip spot serving delicious street tacos and an array of sides. If nothing else, definitely stop by for a cup of their homemade drink mixes. Huc-a-poo’s Bites & Booze is a local favorite that serves slices of pizza bigger than your head and ice-cold beverages. We can't have a section about unique restaurants with mention of Lili's Restaurant and Bar. The menu ranges from classic French, to southern favorites, to a unique mix of flavors from South Asian cuisines. Enjoy local seafood, the freshest produce, and favorite items like the popular Lamb Chops or Tandoori-spiced Chicken & Waffles.

For Cocktail Connoisseurs!

A newer spot on the island, Sea Wolf, features specialized cocktails and an eclectic menu of Southern-style, coastal-inspired dishes. They’re known for their gourmet hot dogs, fresh oysters, and great vegan options! There is also Cockspur Grill, whose welcoming environment will have you sipping an ice-cold beverage with the locals in no time! Fannie’s on The Beach is a funky restaurant and bar directly across from the beach that serves unique drinks as well as lunch and dinner. For the late-night crowd, Rock House Original Bar and Grill serves up delicious snacks and great drinks until 3:00 a.m.!

Family Friendly Tybee Island Restaurants

The Rock House is a truly unique combination of a family-friendly restaurant during the day and a happening karaoke bar at night all in a rock n’ roll-themed atmosphere! For breakfast and early lunch, try The Breakfast Club, which features homemade sausages, grits, French toast, and omelets. Sunrise Restaurant offers a wonderful breakfast bar and specialty omelets that everyone will love. Mi Vida is a simple café offering all-natural smoothies, sandwiches, coffee, and more! They’re all about clean eating.

Jolt of Java & Sweet Satisfaction

Tybean Art and Coffee Bar on the north end serves crafted coffees made with Atlanta roasters Batdorf & Bronson and offers homemade delicacies. And, who can resist homemade ice cream and sno-balls at Seaweeds on Tybee’s south end?
