Do your vacation rentals with a dock include any boats or kayaks?
Tybee Vacation Rentals does not provide complimentary boats or kayaks for guest use. We recommend our guests take advantage of the many rental companies located around the island. Here are some options for boat and kayak rental options on Tybee Island.
Do I need a fishing license to fish from the dock at my vacation rental?
Yes, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources requires nonresidents 16 years or older, regardless of physical condition, to have a current nonresident Georgia fishing license to fish in Georgia, except in private ponds. Georgia DNR has Agreements with Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina that allow holders of Georgia fishing licenses to fish in the waters covered without obtaining a fishing license from the bordering state.
Where can I dock my boat during my stay?
Most of our dock homes can accommodate a kayak or a small-sized boat. If you have any specific questions please contact one of our local vacation planners. They are ready and available to answer any property-specific questions that you may have!
Is there a dedicated safe swimming zone on Tybee’s Beaches?
The City of Tybee Island has lifeguards on duty during the summer season, beginning May 1 through Labor Day. There are public access points along the shoreline. Check the City of Tybee’s information page about safe swimming and surfing locations on Tybee Island.
