Van Horne Villa is a custom-built home features unobstructed views of the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Located on the main oceanfront side of the North end of Tybee, you can enjoy a quieter beach location and are still within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The exterior of the home offers everything you would want in an oceanfront home including private beach access right from your deck with a shower to rinse off, lots of seating and lounge space, charcoal grill, and an enclosed outdoor shower room with bathroom.
On the main living level of the home, you will find the kitchen, dining area, 4 guest bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a large oceanfront deck. The kitchen features a 6 burner gas stove, oven, convection oven/microwave, full-size fridge, and plenty of space for large family meals. There is a full bath in the hall. The dining area table seats 10, and the living area is comfortably furnished and includes a wet bar with a built-in icemaker.
The guest bedrooms on this floor include #1: Queen, #2: Double, #3: 2 Doubles with Jack and Jill Full Bath connecting to #4: Queen bed.
The top floor of the home features two masters. The first master is furnished with a King and full bath with a soaking tub with an oceanfront view and a separate shower. The second master offers a King and Double bed and an attached full bath. There is also a laundry with full-sized washer and dryer in the hall.
The ground level of the home offers a utility room with a full-sized freezer, additional washer and dryer, and sink. The ground level patio offers additional seating, stair access to the main level deck, enclosed shower room, and a charcoal grill and a gas grill perfect for cookouts. Thanksgiving 2016
We select a different location for our annual Family Thanksgiving week...this year we spent it at Tybee Island. The Van Horne Villa was ideal for our family of 8 adults and 3 little granddaughters. The home is beautiful and the beach was right in front of us...it was warm enough for several days of water fun, kite flying, sand castle, etc. ..close enough to tour Savannah . Just wish it was handicap accessible as a grandmother who visited for the day had to be confined to the garden patio area. Would like to have had more hangers in the closets and a better can opener. October 2014 Stay
My husband and I met on Tybee Island over 4 years ago. I lived across the street in the Sea Villas condos. We knew then that we wanted to have our wedding celebration at "the house across the street". The house was all we had dreamed it would be and then some. Our family and friends loved the house and all the furnishings. TVR made sure everything for our stay was ready and waiting. The view from the deck was spectacular. We got married at the crossover beside the house by the swing where we first met. I could not have asked for a better house to begin our life with all our family and friends there. Last note, my husband left half his clothes in the drawers. TVR boxed them up so my friend on the island could pick them up. TVR goes above and beyond in customer service. Our stay at Van Horne Villa was a memorable event for my whole family! It was our 47th wedding anniversary, our son was married on the beach and it was a full week of vacation with family and friends!! The house was beautiful and the location was awesome! Everything we needed was there and we didn't have to leave for anything but groceries! The Villa is so spacious and the decor was so warm and inviting, it made us feel like we were right at home!
