The Southern Belle Skyline apartment is a 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom apartment rich with historic charm and details. This apartment is on the top level (forth) of a beautiful townhome, located in the historic district. There is an interior staircase that is accessed from the entrance on the Parlor level, the first floor, there is no elevator. Southern Belle Skyline apartment features re-finished hardwood flooring and architectural touches throughout. Enjoy views of the scenic Savannah Skyline from the living room including an incredible view of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist's spires.

The elegant living room has a large flat screen TV mounted over the decorative fireplace. There is a dining table for two. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, stove and oven and a full-size refrigerator - everything you need for vacation cooking, just no dishwasher. There is also a stacked washer and dryer in the kitchen for your use which is a great bonus! The bedroom is furnished with a King size bed, a large wall mounted flat-screen TV, and has privacy doors leading to the living area. The bathroom features an antique claw foot tub with a shower.

The Southern Belle Townhome sits on East Taylor Street between Drayton St and Bull Street on Monterey Square. This square's main attraction is the Mercer-Williams House, originally built in 1860. The home was made famous in the 1994 book "The Garden of Good and Evil" which was later turned into a movie, is based on real-life events and people who lived in the Mercer Williams House. Just across the square sits Congregation Mickve Israel, one of the few Neo-Gothic style synagogues in the United States. The Synagogue was erected in the 1870s and is home to the third-oldest Jewish congregation in America. Both Mercer-Williams House and Mickve Israel offer tours of these beautifully restored buildings.

Parking information: Parking for this home is on-street and metered Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Guests are encouraged to either purchase a pre-paid parking pass from the Savannah Visitor Center or park on a nearby non-metered street. Neighborhood street parking spaces have a 2-hour time limit on Taylor Street nearest to the townhome.

Guests will also be located only a short 20-25 minute drive to Tybee Island, Savannah's beach. Come out for a day trip to enjoy the beach, fishing, visiting Ft. Beautiful place, clean, and great location. Parking was free South of Gaston Street which is about 1-2 blocks from property. Fair Free Bus stop located about 1 1/2 blocks away. Walking distance of many Squares and Forsyth Park. We would stay again. Our stay would have been perfect if it was cooler.
