The Southern Belle Parlor apartment combines historic charm and romantic touches with modern day convenience and amenities. The Southern Belle Parlor apartment is a spacious 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom apartment with 1,100 square feet of space in a beautifully updated Savannah townhome. This apartment is on the second level of this historic townhome. It features beautifully refinished hardwood floors with high ceilings, and architectural details throughout. The living area has a sleeper sofa, and a 55" Smart TV and a decorative fireplace with a TV mounted above. The spacious kitchen has a dining table that seats 4, granite countertops, and all appliances, including a dishwasher. The bedroom is furnished with a King size bed, and a TV, and has privacy doors leading to the living area. The large bathroom has a custom tiled walk-in shower. The outdoor space includes a spacious deck, perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails.

The Southern Belle Townhome sits on East Taylor Street within a block to Bull Street on Monterey Square. This square's main attraction is perhaps one of the most famous houses in Savannah, the Mercer-Williams House. This home was originally built in 1860 and was finished in 1868. The home was made famous in the 1994 book "The Garden of Good and Evil" which was later turned into a movie, is based on real-life events and people who lived the Mercer Williams House. Just across the square from Mercer House sits Congregation Mickve Israel, one of the few neo-Gothic style synagogues in the United States. The Synagogue was erected in the 1870s and is home to the third-oldest Jewish congregation in America. Both Mercer-Williams House and Mickie Israel offer tours of these beautifully restored buildings.

Parking information: Parking for this home is on-street and metered Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Guests are encouraged to either purchase a pre-paid parking pass from the Savannah Visitor Center or park on a nearby non-metered street. Neighborhood street parking spaces have a 2-hour time limit on Taylor Street nearest to the townhome.

Guests will also be located only a short 20-25 minute drive to Tybee Island, Savannah's beach. Come out for a day trip to enjoy the beach, fishing, visiting Ft. Pulaski, or climbing Georgia's oldest and tallest lighthouse.
