Welcome to Laurel Reef, a delightful vacation home, ready and waiting to welcome you to the beach! This adorable home has been updated and decorated with a contemporary, beachy feel. Located on the north end of Tybee on a quiet residential street, you will be within 4 blocks to the nearest beach access and walking distance to Tybee Oaks shopping and restaurants.
The three bedrooms, two-bathroom home is built off of the ground and all the living spaces are on one level. The open floor plan inside has high cathedral ceilings and comfortable casual furnishings. The living room sectional sofa creates a cozy living space with a large flat-screen TV and electric fireplace. The dining area has ample seating for 6 at the dining table and 4 at the breakfast bar. The kitchen is fully equipped and features stainless steel appliances and charming open cabinetry. The front covered wrap-around porch can be accessed from the living room. The deck has comfortable seating and is a great spot to enjoy morning coffee and the Tybee breezes in the evenings.
Bedroom 1 is furnished with a Queen size bed and has a flat-screen TV. Plenty of natural light fills the space, the attached bathroom has a walk-n shower and has been updated with dual vessel sinks. Bedroom 2 is furnished with a Queen size bed and has a flat-screen TV. Bedroom 3, perfect for families with kids, is furnished with 2 twin bunk beds and a flat-screen TV. The bedrooms share a bathroom in the hall that has a tub and shower combination with all new fixtures. The washer and dryer are located in this bathroom as well.
Beneath the home is a bonus screened porch area and covered breezeway that guests will love to relax and enjoy the Tybee breezes. There is a gas grill for cookouts and a picnic table for al-fresco dining. This home is a great option for families traveling with kids and fur kids! The home is pet-friendly for an additional fee. Wifi is available. The nearest beach access is about 1/2 mile away - about a 9-minute walk. The North Beach has a sandy beach, but no large wave action. The North Beach is considered a bay, it is where the Savannah River meets the ocean. You can watch dolphins at play, shrimp boats, and the large container ships travel to and from the Port of Savannah. The best way to see Tybee is by Bicycle. The home is located directly behind Tim's Bike and Beach Gear, which is your home for bike and beach rentals on Tybee Island.

Laurel reef
The property was very nice and clean, I stayed here with my elderly parent and kids. The house was clean upon arrival. The kitchen was stocked almost completely, and there were even things such as kids bowls and dog food/bowls. The only things missing were a can opener (I had to buy one), oven mitts, and a high chair/play pen. We never used the grill so unsure if it worked. The important things such as the air conditioning were awesome, and the bedrooms stayed cool the whole day. The kids beds weren’t made, which I was surprised of. The kids clean sheet sets were in a bag on top of the beds so we just made them. To our surprise, there is a pizzeria in the backyard of one of the bedrooms; however it never caused a problem and we slept like babies. I really, truly appreciated how there were blackout curtains in every single room, so we were able to sleep in daily. The beds weren’t hard like other reviews stated. There was some hair/lint left in the agitator of the washing machine. A Relaxing Birthday Stay
The unit is great for our family. Celebrating hubby aka dad aka poppi was a perfect reason for us to travel. The home is pretty clean and enjoyable. We enjoyed walking to the local shops. The unit had everything we need. The only "con" if I give one is the "mattress" are not very comfortable to sleep on.Otherwise, it was an amazing time with 3 generations under one roof. :)- Richard F from Marietta, Posted:
Cute and convenient beach house
Laurel Reef is an adorable little beach house that is nicely appointed and convenient (walking distance) to the river beach. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated how well the kitchen is equipped. We would have rated it as an overall five-star property except for two things: 1) the beds are very firm (we had to buy foam mattress toppers at Target); and 2) the front upper deck area gets too hot to enjoy during the middle of the day and could really use a ceiling fan. Otherwise, we thought the property was great and we'd recommend it/come back (with our foam mattress toppers in tow).

Right at home
This vacation home exceeded our family’s expectations and we would love to stay here again. The home was comfy and clean. The air conditioner worked very well, and this is very important for South GA summers. One feature that also stood out that we really appreciated were the blackout curtains in every room, so we could enjoy sleeping in. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the only thing missing was an oven mitt, can opener, and high chair. They really thought of everything else, and even had dog dishes and kids dishes available. We absolutely loved the quiet street. There is a vacant trailer on one side but that just meant we didn’t have any neighbors on that side. We never got a chance to use the grill but appreciated the outdoor space. The kids really bonded in the kids bunk area. The beach was less than a five min drive. There is a pizzeria that is almost in the backyard but it wasn’t a problem at all.
