We booked the house for a business retreat with spouses and couldn't have been more pleased. The house is in the middle of the dining, shopping and tourism district, so you just park in the free parking spots and travel by foot or bicycle cab. The bedrooms are spacious and separated so we weren't on top of each other. The outdoor porches were great for relaxing. Bathrooms were surprisingly spacious for house that is over 200 years old. It's obvious it has been recently renovated, although the high ceilings, ornate trim and historic details definitely remind you that you are in a historic home. Make sure you try B Matthews right next door for breakfast and Vic's on the river for a great dinner. Overall, the house and the city made us all feel like we were at home.
Rented this location for my wife's 40th Birthday getaway with friends and it was perfect !! house is right in the heart of it all, didn't need a car and walked to everything from food , to drinks, to ghost tour. The house is super spacious and you don't feel like you are on top of people at all . Everyone in the group raved about it and I will for sure be back to visit .
I rented this unique spacious home for a girls' week with friends. It allowed us to have our own space but be together. It was the perfect place for our group. We did lose power the day before we left on the top 2 floors and had to bunk together our last night, but they refunded us money to make this right. There are a few updates that need to be made, such as the lock on the main door not consistently working and slow drainage in 1 shower and a sink. But these things were a minor inconvenience in our week. Also be on the lookout for the spirit that makes its home there. If someone is looking for a home in the heart of Savannah this is the house for you.
We had a perfect long weekend in Savannah staying at this property. The location puts you right in the middle of everything so you can park your car in the driveway and forget about it. Walk to all the restaurants, shopping and parks and feel the culture. This historic house is elegantly and historically appointed while at the same time has been updated in all the right places. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean, and it just felt like home for the weekend. Can't wait to return and stay here again.
