From the entryway on the ground level, a wide staircase greets you and takes you to the main level just up the stairs. This home's open floor plan living area is bright and inviting with lots of windows, and comfortable furnishings, including a sleeper sofa and a 50" Smart TV. There is a dining area with a table that seats up to 6. Just off the living area is a large screened-in porch that extends the living space, complete with a dining table for six and conversational seating. The fully equipped kitchen is open to the dining area with a center island ready to take on your favorite vacation meals.
The three bedrooms are on the second floor. Bedroom 1 is furnished with a Queen bed and has a Smart TV; bedroom two is furnished with a King bed and a Smart TV. The third bedroom is furnished with a Queen-size bed. The bedrooms share a full bathroom on this level. Downstairs is a full-size washer, dryer, and a second full bathroom with a walk-in shower. Outdoors there is a gas grill, basketball goal, cornhole boards, pickleball, and a fire pit to enjoy. You'll even find a place Fido can call his own with a dedicated, fenced-in dog area!
This cozy Tybee mid-island home is just a short two-block walk to the beach and a short stroll to Tybee's Memorial Park, which offers tennis, basketball, sand volleyball courts, and an island-themed playground. The Idler is on Second Avenue, Tybee Island's dedicated bike path, so be sure to bring your bicycles or plan on renting them while visiting. Touring on two wheels is the best way to see all of Tybee!

PETS: This home is pet-friendly for up to two (2) adult dogs with approval. Cats are not allowed in any TVR property. Please Note: Tybee City ordinance does not allow dogs on any Tybee Island beaches.
EXTENDED STAY RENTALS (26+ NIGHTS): All stays require a refundable security deposit to be paid, the amount is included in your online quote. A monthly electrical allowance is assigned according to the bedroom size of the property and has been chosen as this amount should not be exceeded with reasonable usage at the property. Please review your rental agreement for a full list of terms and policies.

Great location! We love how close it was to the beach access. Great home away from home for families. At first we were worried about the other reviews about the neighbor’s dogs barking but we didn’t experience anything like what others described. It was mostly quiet. Thank you for hosting our family. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a great stay at the Idler with our family and my daughter’s dog! The house itself was plenty of room for 4 adults and could have easily accommodated more. The bedrooms were all comfortable with ample closet space. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you need to make meals. Living room had plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. Really loved the enclosed porch with a dining table, comfy chairs and couch along with a ceiling fan! The house is in a nice neighborhood that was great for walking our pup. We were also in walking distance to Salt Island Restaurant and some other bars and Sugar Shack for ice cream. Lastly we were a 3 minute walk to the 2nd street beach entrance to the mid beach area. Even on Saturday and Sunday that section of the beach wasn’t crowded. The distance to the beach made it perfect for those that wanted to head back from beach early or to grab lunch and then head back to beach. Our only criticism would be that the WiFi isn’t strong, as seems the case on the island, so if you plan to do remote work you will want to have a hotspot. If we come back to Tybee we will be back at the Idler!

Cancellations
- Arrival window is within 31 days or more, all advanced payments will be refunded less $175 taxed cancellation fee.
- Arrival window within 15 to 30 days, a partial refund of 50% of rent and a $175 cancellation fee will be retained.
- Arrival window within 14 days or less, all payments are non-refundable.
