Step into this newly updated, cottage, Circa 1946, and discover a spacious and comfortable living space that is warm and inviting and ready to welcome your family and friends. The living area has a large sectional sofa and a wall-mounted flat-screen TV with Roku for streaming your favorite entertainment. The fully stocked eat-in kitchen has a bar with four bar stools and a dining table that will easily seat 10. A pass-through off the kitchen area opens into another dining area for 6. There is one full bath on this level. In addition, an outside entrance takes you to the laundry room and to a separate one-bedroom suite with a queen bed, flat-screen TV, and a full bath with a walk-in shower.
Upstairs gives way to a cheerful sunroom offering a great open feel with lots of light and high ceilings. The sunroom, which runs the length of the home, is furnished with a sleeper sofa and large flat-screen TV with Roku and a wireless Blu-ray player. Located directly off the sunroom are 4 bedrooms. You can access each bedroom directly from the sunroom and they also offer connecting doors. The first King bedroom shares a full bath (tub/shower combo) with the second guest bedroom, which also has a King size bed. Adjoining this bedroom is the third bedroom with 2 Twin Beds. This bedroom has a Jack n Jill bathroom that is shared with the fourth bedroom that has 2 Queen beds. One of the king bedrooms and the bedroom with two queens both offer flat-screen TVs.
Palm Palm Cottage is the second home back from the beach access available on this private lane. This beach access is a walking path over the sand dunes which all of the residents and guests on this lane are welcome to use. Many guests, especially elderly ones and if you are carrying a lot of beach gear, will prefer to use either the 6th or 7th street public beach boardwalks.
Off-street parking is available for 4 vehicles. There is a charcoal grill outside for guest use. Wireless Internet is available for guest use.
MINIMUM NIGHT REQUIREMENTS: Minimum night requirements vary by property, dates of stay, and usually become more lenient for last-minute bookings.
PETS: This home is not pet-friendly.
EXTENDED STAY RENTALS (26+ NIGHTS): All stays require a refundable security deposit to be paid, the amount is included in your online quote. A monthly electrical allowance is assigned according to the bedroom size of the property and has been chosen as this amount should not be exceeded with reasonable usage at the property. Please review your rental agreement for a full list of terms and policies.

Got a message a few days before check-in that they only provide enough toilet paper, soap, and trash bags for the first 24 hours. I sent a screenshot of the listing showing they provide essentials including toilet paper. They sent a message back that we’d get 3 trash bags and a starter pack of TP for 12 people for our 5 night stay. That soured our view going in even though we had been very excited. It was a bit musty. They had buckets of Damp-Rid in several places upstairs. A dehumidifier would have been nice. The A/C was good and ceiling fans in the bedrooms were a plus (but one of them was missing the pull cord and was on low speed). Fans on the sun porch upstairs didn’t work at all. Ample dining space. The living room was a good size. We used the pool a lot. The temperature was too warm although I don’t think it was heated. A pool cleaner came and added water to the pool which cooled it down for a bit. Clear instructions for the stay. Responsive host. Overall 4 out of 5 stars.

The location was perfect! Easy access to the beach and everything. We had every one from a toddler to grandparents and it was an easy walk to the beach. It was the perfect accommodations for our large family.

This is a wonderful place close to the beach that has stood the test of time. There is a great amount of space for families and the pool and yard are fantastic! If you are used to newer beach getaways then this house is not for you but if you want a little history with your stay don’t hesitate to book. We would love to know about the original home. It looks like it was an inn or multifamily structure originally but we couldn’t find any information about it.
