Where on Tybee should I stay?

It depends on what kind of vacation you are looking for. The south end of the island has more shops and restaurants within walking distance, but the north end of the island is the quieter, more residential end. It’s really up to your personal preference.

How do I find the vacation home that best fits my needs?
Searching for a Property

Our website offers many search features to help you find the perfect vacation rental. From the home page, you can start your initial search by choosing filters like arrival/departure date, preferred location, and/or occupancy preferences. After clicking the “search” button, you can further narrow your results by choosing filters such as oceanfront, pet-friendly, and/or private pool. After selecting your preferences, browse through the resulting list of available properties. Depending on the time of year, we offer flexible 2 to 3-night minimum stays in most of our properties. If you are looking for a shorter stay in the summer months, but don’t see open calendar dates on our website, be sure to contact a local Vacation Planner using the chat feature or by phone at 855.582.2152 for assistance. They will inform you of open gap days that may be available for you to book.

Receive a Quote or Book Online

Once you have selected the perfect vacation home, available within your desired date range, click the pink “Book Now” button. Once booked, you will have the choice to include optional travel insurance and view the total cost of your vacation rental, including taxes and fees. If you choose to opt-out of the optional travel insurance, you must decline the insurance before reserving your stay. After reading through our Reservation Terms & Conditions, you can proceed to submit your reservation. 

How can I book a vacation rental?

Book your stay online at,  or call our in house, local Vacation Planners at 855.582.2152 seven (7) days a week during our listed operating hours to help guide you to the perfect vacation home. On occasion, our website may show little or no properties as available for your dates when there may actually be gaps in the calendar. Our Vacation Planners are available to answer questions and be of assistance.  

What is the minimum age to rent a property?

Guests making a reservation must be at least 25 years of age to make a reservation at Tybee Vacation Rentals. 

What is the Guest Service Fee?

A non-refundable Service Fee is required for all reservations and is included in the total price. The amount of the service fee varies by property size. The non-refundable fee covers all administrative costs, credit card processing fees, 24-7 emergency assistance, after-hours lockout, emergency services and guest mobile application.

What is the Damage Waiver fee?

The Damage waiver Fee is a nonrefundable Fee that relieves Guests of the cost for REPORTED unintentional and incidental damage to the Rental Property and its contents, not to exceed the amount of coverage purchased. The fee includes coverage up to $1,500.00 of REPORTED unintentional damage. The Fee does not cover intentional damage, theft, unintentional and incidental damage exceeding the amount of coverage purchased or any damage or flea infestation caused by a pet, unauthorized pets, property damage, extensive cleaning required at check-out, smoking in non-smoking units, exceeding occupancy or parking limits, loss of future rents and any other mentioned charges/policies in the TVR Rental Agreement and Policies. Guest authorizes TVR to charge Guest's credit card in the event of the above-listed exclusions. Guest will be notified of any damage/costs in writing. Guest assumes full responsibility for any items damaged due to misuse or negligence or action on guest`s part, except in the case of normal wear-and-tear REPORTED to TVR within 24 hours of check-in, and for any items found to be missing. Violation of any condition of the terms of the TVR Rental Agreement voids the protection provided under the Damage Waiver Fee. TVR has ultimate claim administration authority.

What are the rental policies?

Immediately after processing your reservation payment, you will receive a Reservation Confirmation via email, detailing your reservation. Within 24 hours of your reservation payment, you will receive a second email inviting you to review and electronically sign your Rental Agreement. You have three (3) days to sign your Rental Agreement and return it back to us. Reservations arriving within 15 days must sign their Rental Agreement within 24 hours. 

How do I take advantage of special offers?

View special offers online or call a local Vacation Planner at 855.582.2152 to ask about our listed specials. To redeem a special offer, please enter the Special Offer Promo Code in the "Promo Code" field when booking your reservation online. The discount will automatically be applied to your reservation.

What is the Guest Portal?

TVR offers guests a Guest Portal that gives them information pertaining to their stay. Click here for more information.

When is my reservation confirmed?

If you have booked through one of our Vacation Planners, your reservation is already confirmed.  If you have booked online, you will receive a confirmation email and your reservation confirmation is not finalized until one of our Guest Services agents had personally verified your information. 

Once the reservation has been confirmed, within 24 hours you will receive an email that will provide you with a link to your e-sign lease agreement and login information for your personalized TVR Guest Portal.  

What is your pet policy and other useful information regarding vacationing with a pet?
Pet-Friendly Vacation Rentals

Bring the entire family! Tybee Vacation Rentals offers over 100 pet-friendly vacation rentals to select from. There is so much to do with your dog when visiting Tybee and Savannah. Both offer many dog-friendly activities and many restaurants with outdoor seating that are happy to have your furry friend join you. Tybee and Savannah have a sub-tropical climate. Make sure to keep your dog well-hydrated and cool with plenty of water and shade. The strong summer sun makes for very hot pavement, so providing shade is very important and morning and evening walks are best. Coming in the off-season? It is a beautiful time and the temperature is perfect to spend outside with your pet! Also, be sure to read the rules and tips below.  Above all else, please have a doggone good time!

Dog Parks:
  • Tybee Island Dog Park: Located on Van Horne St., just past the Police Station. The fenced enclosure allows your dog to enjoy time off-leash.  Open from dawn till dusk. Please use the parking spaces (free parking) on Van Horne and do not park in the police impound lot. Limit of two (2) dogs per handler.
  • Savannah Dog Parks:
    • Herty Pines Dog Park: Located behind Grayson Stadium in Daffin Park. Turn off Victory Dr. when you get to Bee Rd. Offers a shaded and fenced play area where your dog can play off-leash.
    • Mother Matilda Beasley Dog Park: Located at 523 E. Broad St., bordering the Historic District.
    • Savannah Dog Park: Located on 41st and Drayton St. in the Starland District. Offers a shaded and fenced play area.
Rules and Tips:

Pay special attention to signage posted in your vacation home for "Dog Owners" which covers the following items in detail and is updated as necessary.

  • Pet Fee: Tybee Vacation Rentals requires a non-refundable pet fee for guests who choose to bring a pet to a Pet-Friendly property. 
  • Leash Laws: Both Tybee and Savannah require all pets to be leashed when walking in public spaces - parks, squares, businesses, and residential areas.
  • Dogs are NOT allowed on the beaches of Tybee Island due to the wildlife. There is a hefty fine if your dog is caught on any beach on Tybee. We do have two dog parks; one for small dogs and one for large dogs. They are located at the intersection of Van Horne and Fort Streets, between the Police Station and River's End Campground and RV Park.
  • Barking dogs that disturb neighbors will receive a fine. There is a noise ordinance on Tybee and if reported you could face a minimum fine of $300. If you leave your pet for an extended period of time in your rental property, you must leave it in its' crate to keep it from damaging the property and/or barking.
  • Please pick up after your dog. Keeping the island clean is a plus for everyone.
What steps are you taking to clean and disinfect your vacation homes?

Our Housekeeping Team cleans and disinfects all hard surfaces of our vacation homes. Including but not limited to floors, countertops, railings, sink faucets, appliances, doorknobs, and light switches.

We use EPA approved disinfectants that are effective against bacteria and viruses. Linens and towels are laundered offsite at our linen facility; soiled linens are treated as if they are contaminated. Click here to read about steps we are taking to ensure your health and safety during your stay on Tybee Island. 

How do I sign my rental agreement?

You will receive an email with instructions on how to access and sign your rental agreement. All reservation requests submitted must be finalized and confirmed with a signed rental agreement and required first payment by no later than 3 days following the date of the reservation request. An attempt to contact you will be made if this has not been completed. Requests that are not finalized and confirmed with a signed rental agreement and the first payment will be automatically canceled without further notice.

What are your payment policies?

Payment terms vary by length of stay and how far in advance you are reserving. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and Amex*. You may also pay by ACH/Electronic Check or Personal Check (US Only) as long as received at least 30 days before arrival. Reservations made within 30 days of arrival require full payment at the time of booking.

60 Days Prior To Arrival: 35%
30 Days Prior To Arrival: Remaining Balance

*Credit card transactions will appear as Vacation Rental Pros Property Management LLC, on your credit card statement.
What is your cancellation policy?

Standard Cancellation Policy: Free cancellation for 72 hours after booking as long as your trip is more than 15 days away.

61+ Days in Advance of Arrival Date: All payments made in excess of the $175 cancellation fee and $300 for extended stays are fully refundable.

60 or Less Days in Advance of Arrival Date: All payments made are non-refundable unless the property is re-rented and the full rental amount for your dates of stay is maintained.

All cancellations should be requested in writing for your protection and no future payments will be due after a written cancellation request is received. Any excess, beyond the full rental amount (Rent, Taxes, Housekeeping Fee, and Guest Services Fee), is refundable minus a $175.00 Cancellation Fee or $300 for extended stays plus tax. We recommend all guests purchase trip insurance to protect their vacation investment. Please note that trip cancellation insurance premiums paid (if applicable) are non-refundable. How can I protect my trip with Travel Insurance?

Tybee Vacation Rentals has contracted with CSA Travel Protection, now known as Generali Global Assistance, to offer you optional trip cancellation insurance. We offer Standard Travel Insurance.

The policy offers a 10-Day Free Look. Guests will have the ability to cancel coverage and receive a full refund of the insurance policy within 10 days of purchase if they are not completely satisfied—as long as you haven’t left for your trip or filed a claim.   Global Generali Guest contact 866-999-4018

Standard Travel Insurance (Policy GR-330V)

Protect your vacation investment against hurricane evacuations, injury, sickness, job loss, death, and other unforeseen covered circumstances, which can cause cancellation of confirmed reservations and forfeiture of payments. Best of all, travel protection is not just provided for you, but for all of your travel companions! 

The cost is 7.8% of the rent, guest fees, housekeeping fees, and taxes. Trip insurance can be purchased at the time of booking your reservation or up to the date prior to your arrival.

Can I check-in after your office closes?

Yes! If you have been directed to come to our office to pick up a check-in package, we have an After Hours Dropbox where we will leave your check-in packet if you plan to arrive after we close.

If your check-in instructions have you going directly to the property then there is no need to come by the office even if you arrive later than the check-in time. Your keycode will be sent when your property is ready on the guest portal.

How do I check-in?

I'll be arriving late, can someone else in my party check-in?

If you have been directed to come to our office to pick up your check-in package, anyone listed as a guest on your Rental Agreement, who is over the age of 25, can check-in for you.

If your check-in instructions have you going directly to the property then there is no need to come by the office.  A key code will be available on your day of arrival.  You may share the guest portal with anyone in your party.

When will I receive my check-in instructions?

Five days prior to arrival, you will receive an email with a link to your Guest Portal. This will have all of your arrival instructions like directions to our office, check-in time, etc.

What if I leave a personal item behind?

You can report a lost item on our website and we will do our best to locate your belongings - Click here to report a Lost Item. You can also call our office as soon as you notice the item is lost. We will have housekeeping go look for it at the property as soon as they are able. If there is a current guest-in-house, they will have to wait until the next check-out. If the item is found, we will contact you to discuss shipping it back to you.

Are towels/linens provided?

Tybee Vacation Rentals provides a basic supply of bed and bath linens in each property. Beds will all be made with the exception of top bunks, sleeper sofas and inflatable beds which will have sheets provided. You will have one towel and washcloth per person per the occupancy of the property plus two additional towels and washcloths. (ex: if the property sleeps 12, you will have 14 towels and washcloths). Each bathroom is also furnished with one (1) hand towel.

Should you require extra linens, you should plan to bring them, or you can launder them during your stay. We do offer an optional add-on where additional towels can be rented at either the time of booking or prior to check-in. Each Extra Towel Package includes: two (2) bath towels, two (2) face cloths, and one (1) hand towel for $10.00. Bed linens and bath towels are not changed during your stay. Beach towels are not provided.

Parking on Tybee Island and Savannah, GA

All of Tybee Island’s public parking is pay-to-park 7 days a week, 8am-8pm. Save time and pay on the go with Tybee's Parking App. If you have more vehicles than your property allows, they will need to be parked in a metered street parking space.

Tybee Island parking lots: There is a large parking lot on the north end of the island (near the lighthouse) and one on the south end (near the pier)

The City of Savannah operates over 3,000 metered parking spaces, five (5) public parking garages, and six (6) surface lots in downtown Savannah. You can purchase a Visitor DAYPASS which allows limited parking in any City parking garage/lot, parking overtime in limited time zones, or at any parking meter with a time limit of one hour or more for a period of 48 hours from purchase. The Visitor DAY PASS is available to Savannah visitors for a price of $15.00 for a 24-hour pass and $24.00 for a 48-hour pass. To purchase a pass you must provide the license plate number/state of the vehicle you are driving. These passes are available at Mobility & Parking Services, 100 East Bryan Street, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, or Savannah Visitor's Center, 301 MLK Blvd., 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, seven (7) days a week.

The City of Savannah also offers a way to 'Pay On The Go'. With the Park Savannah mobile app, you can quickly and securely use your smartphone to pay parking meters. You will receive alerts when your parking session is about to end. You can then add time to your parking session directly from your device. Park, pay, and be on your way!

Fare-Free DOT Express Shuttle - This shuttle serves 24 stops throughout the Historic District and runs every 20 minutes from 7:00 am - 9:00 pm, Monday through Saturday and 11:00 am - 9:00 pm on Sunday, connecting to municipal parking facilities, Visitor Centers, the River Street Streetcar, and Savannah Belles Ferry. Savannah Belles Ferry - Catch a free ride across the Savannah River seven (7) days a week, from 7:00 am to Midnight from the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center Landing (adjacent to the Westin Savannah Harbor Resort ) to City Hall Landing (adjacent to Hyatt Regency Savannah). Ferry vessels and landings are ADA accessible and service is free. The schedule can vary by landing.

What if I want to rent a golf cart?

A golf cart must utilize one of the allotted parking spaces at your property, so please plan accordingly based on the number of parking spaces you have and the number of cars you plan to bring. Some condo complexes do not allow golf carts at all, so please check before you reserve one. We also cannot guarantee the ability to charge a golf cart at any of our homes. What amenities are provided in a property?

All of our properties are fully equipped with dishes and utensils as well as basic cooking needs. Additionally, each property will have an iron, an ironing board, and at least one hairdryer. We also provide filters for the coffee maker, a roll of paper towels, a small dishwashing liquid, and a single laundry detergent. Each bathroom will have toilet tissue, and a backup. If you need anything more than what we provide, it is your responsibility to replenish it.

How many bath towels are provided?

Bath towels are provided according to the occupancy of the property - plus two additional towels. (ex: if the property sleeps 12, you will have 14 towels).

Note: We do not replenish towels during your stay.

Are Tybee Island's beaches open?

Yes! Tybee's beaches are open. TIFD Beach Safety lifeguards are on duty daily from May - September each year, and on weekends during other parts of the year. Groups on the beach should practice social distancing.

Are Tybee Island pools open?

Homes with private pools/hot tubs: Properties with pools and hot tubs are clean ready for you to enjoy! All are on a routine pool cleaning schedule. A skimmer is provided for guest use in between services or if inclement weather results in excessive debris.

For safety reasons, pool service is not available while guests are present at the pool. Guests are asked to leave the pool area so the tech can safely perform the service.

Condo/Resort pools: All condo community pools are open. HOA's have approved reopening of pools with occupancy limits, safety restrictions, and daily cleaning/sanitizing processes. For questions regarding specific complex pools, email us at

Are restaurants and businesses on Tybee Island and in Savannah open?

Local restaurants are allowed to open for dine-in service and many also offer takeout and delivery options. Click here for a list of businesses that are currently operating to accommodate customers.

Are face coverings or face masks required?

(as of April 5, 2021): The Savannah mask mandate is no longer in effect. Face coverings are recommended to prevent the spread of Covid 19. Masks are optional for patrons of businesses in the local area. 

Do you supply beach chairs, umbrellas, etc? Baby cribs or pack-n-plays?

We do not provide any of these items, but there are places to rent them on the island. Tim’s Bike & Beach Gear will deliver to your property prior to your stay and pick everything up after you leave.

Where are the handicapped accessible beach access points and are beach-ready wheelchairs available?

Mobi-mats are located at the following beach access points:

- North Beach Mid Lot Cross Over

- Second Avenue Cross Over (East Gate) 

- 16th Street (Tybrisa) Cross Over

Free wheelchair rentals are available on a first-come first-served basis at the lifeguard station (Ocean Rescue) located beside the Tybee Island Marine Science Center behind the Pier. These wheelchairs are made to be easy to get into and out of and are built with fat, plastic tires to keep them from sinking into the sand. The Triolo chair even floats, although the exact type of chair available may vary from time to time depending on repairs and purchases of equipment. To check out the chairs, you will need a valid photo ID, and you will be asked to fill out a survey to help us determine how and when the chairs are being used.

Are there grocery stores on the island?

There is one grocery store on Tybee, the Tybee Market IGA. You can even order online and they will deliver for a fee. 
On Wilmington Island and Whitmarsh Island, there are 2 Publix grocery stores, and 1 Kroger grocery store. Whole Foods is located in Savannah on Victory Drive.

Is smoking allowed on Tybee Island beaches?

As of June 1st, 2022, smoking and vaping have been banned from Tybee Island beaches. Signs have been posted around the island and violators will receive a warning during a 3-week grace period. After the grace period, violators may be fined up to $300.
