The Crab Shack
Located on 40 Estill Hammock Rd, the ORIGINAL Crab Shack is open 7 days a week from 11:30 am - 10 pm. This is a unique restaurant that features numerous seafood delights along its own unique alligator lagoon where you can actually feed the captive alligators. They have both indoor and outdoor seating but their outdoor seating features great views of the waterways and marshlands. They have quite a wide selection of seafood appetizers and meal options on their menu. A few featured items are Low Country Boil- shrimp, corn potatoes, and sausage as well as New England Clam Chowder and The Shack Crab Stew, which is their own award-winning recipe. They also offer shrimp, snow crab, stone crab, mussels, and baby clams.
String Rays Seafood
Located on 14th Street at Butler Avenue this great restaurant features inside and outside dining options and is open 7 days a week. They offer a large range of seafood. Sting Rays is a great location to watch any of Tybee’s many parades while you enjoy your meal. The parade passes right in front of the restaurant so you can have a meal and a show or rather a parade! Their many food options include crab stew, Shrimp Po’ Boy sandwich, Snow Crab Platter, Deviled Crab Plate, Soft Shell Crab Plate, Louisiana Crawfish, Dungeness Crab, and even the “famous” Sting Ray’s Platter which consists of Shrimp, Snow Crab, Blue Crab, Jonah Crab Claws, Crawfish and Mussels. They even sell Seafood by the pound, such as 1/2 lb Shrimp, 1lb Mussels, Alaskan Snow Crab, and Oysters on the Half Shell.
The Deck Beach Bar and Kitchen
Located at Tybee Island Beachside Colony Resort, on Butler Ave. This restaurant is directly beachfront so you can enjoy their indoor seating or eat in their outdoor seating and watch the surf and listen to some live music as you enjoy your meal. The Deck features fresh seafood and refreshing beverages, drawing inspiration from the cuisine of Australia, coastal Mexico, and Hawaii; combining them in a relaxed and creative manner. The menu is both fun and satisfying with guest favorites like fish and chips and buffalo hot wings.
