2021 is coming to an end, it’s time to welcome a New Year! Bring a beach chair to watch Tybee Island’s annual New Year’s Eve firework show at the stroke of midnight. The show is staged on the main pier, but can be viewed from any of Tybee Island’s eastern beaches.

- Tybee’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks: Ring in the New Year with our annual fireworks show sponsored by Visit Tybee. This spectacular display is visible from anywhere on the beach!
- Savannah’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve: Ring in the New Year at the Savannah Theatre! Enjoy a two-hour show featuring the Rockin’ Savannah Theatre band and singers and dancers! After the show, the band will keep playing music so that the audience can dance and continue to have a good time and there will be a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Don’t miss the best New Years’ Eve party in Savannah!
- Tybee Virtual Polar Plunge: We will not organize the mass gathering on the Pier and will not corral wristband-wearing participants at the edge of the ocean this year. Instead, you are encouraged to participate wherever you are! It’s still on New Year’s Day (Jan. 1) at high noon, but you pick the body of water. From Tybee Island’s beautiful beach, to Long Island, plunge the frigid waters anywhere!
- Wild Night on Ossabaw : Experience an on-island overnight educational journey. Arrive on Ossabaw Island on New Year’s Eve afternoon. Enjoy an Ossabaw Farm-to-Table Dinner, featuring a full array of Southern side dishes. Following dinner, enjoy music, s’mores and stories of Ossabaw Island around a nighttime campfire, plus a champagne toast to ring in the New Year. After a hearty farm-to-table breakfast, you’ll return to the mainland late morning on New Year’s Day.
