Fall Festival Season on Tybee and in Savannah

The onset of cooler weather on Tybee Island and Savannah means it’s festival season! This Fall is full of awesome events worth checking out on your next great getaway. Music, film, and art festivals fill up the calendar from late September all the way through November. So, as you plan your next vacation, keep these events in mind as unique things to do that only happen this time of year!

Festival Season Art Fairs!

This year marks the rebirth of a Gordonston tradition, the Gordonston Arts Fair! Hosting juried local and regional artists and artisans in the beautiful setting of Juliette Gordon Low Park, the art fair will take place on October 8th and is free to all. This event is rain or shine, so be sure to head over to the historic Gordonston neighborhood to be a part of this year’s festival. In addition to art and crafts, the fair will have food trucks, ice cream, and a children’s activities area!

The Isle of Hope Art and Music Festival returns Saturday, October 22, 2022, and features numerous local artists and talented musicians! Free for all ages, artists and vendors will be set up at the Isle of Hope Marina, Paxton Park, Rose Avenue, and Bluff Drive from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Grab a bite from a local food truck while perusing crafts from makers from Savannah. A music lineup is soon to be announced!

Fall Film Festivals

SCAD Film Festival

The Savannah College of Art and Design presents the annual festival, celebrating cinematic creativity from both award-winning professionals and emerging student filmmakers. Each year, more than 63,000 people attend the eight-day SCAD Savannah Film Festival. The festival is host to a wide variety of competition film screenings, special screenings, workshops, panels, and lectures. The event takes place from October 22nd through October 29th, so get your tickets today!

Music Festival Musts!

Get ready for the 41st Savannah Jazz Fest! The festival is responsible for delivering world-class music for free to the Savannah community! You may not know that Savannah has a rich history of jazz, one as old as that of New Orleans. So, it’s only fitting that guitar players, pianists, drummers, and amazing vocalist travel to perform in Savannah’s Jazz Fest. The event takes place between September 20th to the 24th and is free to all!

Please join the Tybee Island community for the 1st annual Tybee Post Music Fest, featuring 9 bands that span multiple genres of music. From folk to reggae, the festival has got it all! Located on the grounds of Hotel Tybee, this outdoor event will be one to remember! The kickoff is on November 12th at noon! Also, the acts include Indigo Girls, Passafire, Cordovas, The Tams, Music of Motown & Disco, Keystone Postcard,  The Aloha Joes, Christy Snow Band, and Amanda Jeter. So, don’t miss this awesome autumn event!

Here is an itinerary of the event:
