The History of the Lucas Theatre

The Lucas Theatre was built in 1921 and is a 1,200 seating venue. The theatre still stands where it was built in the 20’s, at 32 Abercorn Street, Savannah Georgia.  The theatre was renovated and remodeled after it fell into disrepair in the 80’s.  Currently, the Lucas Theatre shows a variety of classic and unique films along with live stage shows.  They also offer guided tours of the the theatre and its history. You can also arrange to rent out the theatre for private events such as weddings or films shoots.

How To Get Around Tybee Island


Tybee Island is a smaller island at only three miles long and one mile wide so you can walk to any destination on the island. However, if you prefer a faster mode of transportation, bicycles, scooters, golf carts and taxis will get you there quicker and with less effort.  You can travel to the beach with ease or to any of Tybee’s local restaurants or shops. The Shops at Tybee Oaks

Tybee Oaks is one of Tybee’s hidden gems.
