Thank you for visiting Tybee Vacation Rentals, a full service rental management company. We can find your family a perfect vacation home, or we can manage your family’s perfect vacation home. We offer a complete rental program, specializing in short term vacation rentals. Guests and homeowners alike will benefit from our friendly, professional service.

Family Owned and Operated
TVR is owned and operated by Amy Gaster and Carrie Efird, two sisters who grew up on Tybee and in Savannah, and currently live on the island. We are out-going, free-thinking, and dedicated to fair policies and exceptional,unconventional, and absolutely unparalleled service. Growing Business
Begun in the fall of 2000 as a small, local family business, we have grown to be one of thelargest, and most well respected vacation rental companies on Tybee. From day one we’vebeen committed to providing superior service, and to reaching for and exceeding industrytrends and standards. We have used our creativity and experience for innovation in a fieldthat was nearlynonexistent on Tybee when we began our company. We continue to refine our rental program and improve our systems in order to meet the changing needs of our homeowners and guests.

Professional Affiliations
Tybee Vacation Rentals is a fully accredited member of the Vacation Rental Managers Association, a professional trade association for the short term property management field. The mission of VRMA is to serve the industry by enhancing professionalism and increasing public awareness of vacation rentals as a quality lodging alternative. TVR is a member of the Savannah Chamber of Commerce.  TVR owner, Amy Gaster, serves on the board of Tybee Fest, Inc., on the Tybee Tourism Council Board, and on the City of Tybee Cultural Development Committee.  Both Amy and Carrie are licensed real estate agents.

Guest Services

Guest Satisfaction
In this busy world, you’re not just looking for a place to stay, you’re seeking a vacation experience. Building a continuing relationship with you is our goal; we want to ensure that you look to TVR each and every year when making your travel plans. A significant percentage of our business comes from repeat rentals and referrals. Guest satisfaction is very important to all of us at TVR. We hope you feel like you’ve found a home away from home while staying on Tybee, and we want to inspire your return for a memorable vacation every year.

Standards and Quality
We represent a variety of quality, well maintained, fully furnished homes. We realize the power of first impressions, comfortable furnishings, and attractive accommodations. We provide owners with a list of required amenities for TVR properties, and ask that homes are well furnished, clean and comfortable. We encourage feedback by not only providing comment cards to guests, but actually following up on their valuable suggestions. We are especially proud of all the positive compliments, rating our reservation system, customer service, web site and check-in process as being “terrific!” Our properties have also gained “terrific” ratings from guests for the quality of accommodations, the furnishings, decor, kitchen, comfort, cleanliness and maintenance of the home.

Amenities and Extras
To ensure your comfort, TVR requires all properties to be furnished with a variety of amenities including all necessary furnishings, bedding, linens, central heat and air conditioning, cable TV, telephone, coffeemaker, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, stove, toaster, washer/dryer. Many properties contain a variety of extras such as stereo/CD player, VCR, DVD, iron, blender, outdoor shower, whirlpool tub, books, games, and grill, and more!

Online Availability and Booking
Through our website, www.tybeevacationrentals.com, we offer you direct access to state of the art reservation technology, allowing visitors to browse properties at their convenience, access availability information, and book online any day, any time!

Communication and Convenience
We operate a full service rental office, conveniently located on the island. The office is open from 9 until 6 Monday through Saturday, however anyone can search our properties and book online 24 hours a day. We provide three toll free reservation lines and email correspondence for guest inquiries. We offer you complete reservation services, from searching for the perfect property, to reservations, to making sure everything is ready for check in. We offer after hours key pick up as well as an after hours emergency telephone number.

Trip Cancellation Insurance
Tybee Vacation Rentals has contracted with CSA, Inc. to offer Trip Cancellation Insurance which can protect your vacation investment against hurricane evacuations, and other unforeseen circumstances that could cause cancellation of your trip and forfeiture of payment. The insurance covers trip cancellation and interruption, trip delay, emergency medical transportation, and 24 hour emergency assistance.

Welcome Gift and Housekeeping Supplies
A surprise awaits you in your rental property! We provide a souvenir cooler filled with snacks and other goodies, plus we stock the home with a starter supply of housekeeping items such as soaps, paper products, dish tablets, trash bags, etc. We get you started with the basics so you don’t have to rush to the grocery store on your first day of vacation.

Concierge Services
We believe in southern hospitality! We will be happy to help you schedule activities to make your vacation more fun-filled and action-packed! We organize a calendar of Tybee and Savannah events which we send to you prior to arrival. At check-in, we give you local publications and brochures including information on activities, dining, and more. Our concierge at the new Tybee Vacation Information Center is here to assist with travel information, tickets, directions, recommendations, help with amenities and anything needed to make your stay on Tybee the best. The concierge center also offers free WIFI, copy and fax services, newspapers, UPS, and more!

Are you celebrating a special occasion? Let us know if you would like anything special placed in the unit… flowers, balloons, cakes, gifts, catering, etc.

Vacation Rental Experts
We specialize in managing and marketing short term vacation rentals on Tybee Island, GA. We offer a professional property management program, overseen by licensed real estate agents, but unlike other real estate companies, vacation rental management is our only business. As a licensed real estate firm, you can rest assured that your home is in good hands. As your agents, our main priority is to protect your investment, your property, and its profitability.

Professional Marketing and Advertising
Creative and effective promotion is the key to a successful rental program. We invest in many different marketing resources on the Internet, various print media, and other publications. We print and distribute over 7500 color property catalogues a year, and participate in a monthly brochure direct mail program to prospects requesting information on Tybee Island. Our best resource is our popular and state-of-the art website, www.tybeevacationrentals.com, equipped with loads of information and online reservation search engine. Plus, there are no annual advertising fees…we promote and market your rental property at no additional charge to you.

Complete Reservation Service
The most valuable service we offer our homeowners is our reservation service. Reservations begin with marketing to prospective guests, booking the reservation, sending guest confirmations, receiving signed rental agreements, notifying guests of policies, sending directions to the property, billing guests for their rental, checking guests in, checking on guests during their stay, checking guests out, cleaning the property, and following up with former guests to offer them the opportunity to return for a repeat visit. For easy booking and information we offer e-mail communication, 3 toll free reservation lines, and online booking. For easy payment, we accept Visa and Mastercard. We offer guests a hassle free vacationing service, while alleviating the homeowner from the burden of managing their own vacation rental.

Computerized Reservation Technology
We have invested in state-of-the art computers and reservation software which allows us to efficiently manage availability, bookings, payments, maintenance, housekeeping, accounting, monthly income statements, checks, and reservation reports.

Homeowner Newsletter
The staff and owners of TVR write a Quarterly Newsletter, Tybee Vacation Rentals News, a newsletter created for our homeowners to keep you informed of the happenings of TVR, industry news, property tips, TVR activity/time line calendar, and more! We believe our homeowners both enjoy and benefit from this valuable source of information.

Detailed Monthly Statements
TVR sends a detailed monthly statement, outlining the income and expenses of the property. We also provide you with a monthly reservation report of future bookings in the property.

Guest Feedback
Not only do we collect comment cards from our guests, but we also copy them and mail them to our owners every month. We feel it is important for owners to be aware of guest experiences and to know exactly what guests say about their vacation property as well as our reservation service.

Property Extras
We provide an eye-catching exterior sign on your home to identify it as a vacation rental as well as for marketing purposes. We get many calls and compliments on our bright signs and on our wonderful homes as a result of this display. We also include a guest information book in the property filled with helpful information such as TVR policies, guest services, phone numbers for attractions, activities, and equipment rentals, and other tourist information. We post rules, check out instructions, and emergency contact numbers in your home. Our guests are very appreciative of all the useful information provided along with their vacation rental.

Confidence
We are here to protect your property. All guests are required to sign a rental agreement, and review the policies. We primarily rent to families or adult groups over the age of 25. Some preventative measures we include in our agreement are not allowing house parties, not allowing the number of guests to exceed the published capacity of the home, and not renting to student groups under the age of 25. We do everything we can to protect your home and your investment.

Housekeeping and Maintenance
We offer supervised quality housekeeping services, and a professional linen service. We keep a detailed inventory of the contents of each home, and perform regular property inspections. We also offer preventative maintenance and are always on call for emergency repairs. We use reliable and knowledgeable vendors who are qualified to handle practically any situation, at fair prices.

After Hours Emergency
We provide all guests with an after hours emergency number, the Tybee Police number, and we post our phone numbers in your home.

Accountability
As your agent, we are primarily accountable to you, the property owner.
